Natures Beauty Clock
Ayurveda believes in natural
beauty. The Ayurvedic system was born in India over 5,000 years ago. Everything we do is either medicine or poison to our body. When we do not follow the laws of nature that govern our body we create imbalances within us like disease, illness, sickness, anxiety, depression, anger, constipation, acne.. and the list goes on! This is why we have to follow our constitution or prakriti. The three doshas that resonate within every person are Vata, Pitta, and Kapha. Each humor contains qualities such as dry, hot, heavy, oily, slow. Many people have two doshas that are more ruling in their bodies versus others. For example, I am a pitta-kapha, so I work to cultivate balance through habits and techniques to help my body move lightly daily, so that my mind, body, and soul do not become aggravated. No two constitutions are exactly alike, so therefore no two human beings can have the same expression as healthy. This is why everyone favors different workouts, sleep patters(morning or night person), tastes, and different seasons because we preform our best when we tend to our own bodies needs. When we understand how to balance the unique blueprint of our personal body, we can thrive and restore discomfort in our life!
The universe gives us such beautiful gifts that bloom at the right time when our body craves them. Natures gifts help beautify hair, skin, eyes, body, mind and soul, we just need a little guidance on how to use them. The ancient study of Ayurveda promotes radiance and longevity. Through the use of essential oils, self-massaging, baths, meditation, and yoga we can help release negative energies, and impurities in our body creating a beautiful honest glow inside and out. Self-massaging, tongue scraping, and dry brushing isn’t a normal routine for many people because it isn’t traditional to American culture, but once you start doing it, you won’t want to stop.

I am a firm believer that
happiness, sadness, relaxation are aspects that reflect the face and the body
can’t disguise this by cosmetics. We can enhance our beauty by secret
therapies, treatment and beauty management by using cell and nutrition
nurturing cosmetics. We want to enhance our external beauty, by having a
healthy habits. It has taken me quite some time to become aware of the toxins,
parabens and hormone changing chemicals in makeup. It is so easy to walk into a
cvs or walgreens and grab makeups, while not even being aware what they are
doing to our skin. Internally if we eat something bad our liver can fight it
off and break it down. While putting makeup onto our face we can’t fight these
toxins off, they rest on our skin. Through the contribution to fast makeup
companies we are not only contributing to detrimental effects to your skin, but
they also have a negative impact on the environment.
Natures beauty clock doesn’t stop
for anyone. Seasonal health is so important. It is important that we protect
our skin from the summer sun because too much can lead to brown spots, sensitive
skin, sunburn and skin cancer. Photosensitvity is not the same for all skin
type, its different for everyone. Ayurveda
physicians say that a fundamental principle of your skin is based off of your
physical strengths and weaknesses depending on your climate and geographical
area you live in, the time of year, your genetic makeup, and your skin and body
type. (kapha, pitta, or vatta). It is important to make a ritual out of
self-care, and learn to LOVE to take care of your temple. Make your day
powerful and transformational.
Down below I will post a list of
detrimental toxins to our body that are on labels of makeup and we don’t even
know they are bad! There is so much that
needs to be addressed! The United States uses so many ingredients band in
Europe, but the US doesn’t have regulations bands on makeup ingredients. Brands
such as BeautyCounter, Jane
Iredale (my favorite), ILIA Beauty, Living Libations
and Vapour,
are all natural and conscious of the environment. They don’t have the nasties!
It’s important to have makeup that feeds your skin the nutrients and doesn’t suffocate
it while you wear it. You want to feel good about what you have on! Light a
candle, burn some copal, and make your self-care routine love
affair.
I will be posting more about health benefits of oils, spices, exercises, cleansing techniques, and rituals.. It will be so much fun! I can't wait!
